The Shilpa Samadhan Shibir, also known as the Industrial Resolution Camp, has successfully arranged loans totaling ₹13.15 crore in the Uluberia-I Block. This initiative is a significant step towards supporting local self-help groups and enhancing their financial stability.
The camp commenced at the Uluberia-I Block Development Office on December 9 and is set to continue for twelve days, concluding on December 20. Its primary goal is to provide financial assistance to self-help groups (SHGs) under the Anandadhara scheme. Initially, the program aimed to assist 310 self-help groups. However, the response has exceeded expectations, with financial arrangements currently in place for 449 self-help groups. This increase reflects the urgent need for financial support among these groups and the commitment of the Uluberia-I Block administration to address this demand.
The loans provided are intended to empower these self-help groups, enabling them to pursue various development projects and business activities. By offering financial resources, the camp aims to foster economic growth and improve the livelihoods of many individuals within the community. The outreach and overall impact of the Shilpa Samadhan Camp demonstrate an effective approach to community development through direct financial support.
