Today, an event was held at the Uluberia-I Panchayat Samiti, organised by the Department of Horticulture, to distribute winter vegetable seeds. The gathering was attended by several notable figures, including the Block Development Officer of Uluberia-I, Mr H M Riajul Hoque, the Chairman of the Uluberia-I Panchayat Samiti, Mr Atindra Sekhar Pramanik, the Agricultural Working Chairman, Mr Murad Ali, and Mr Partha Pal from the ADH.
During the event, Mr Murad Ali informed the attendees that a total of 130 farmers across nine gram panchayats received seeds for various crops, including tomatoes, cabbage, okra, green chillies, and cauliflower. The distribution of these high-quality seeds has brought great joy to the local farmers, who expressed their gratitude towards the initiatives taken by both the Uluberia-I Panchayat Samiti and the Department of Horticulture.
The farmers acknowledged the positive impact this distribution could have on their agricultural activities and the overall community.
