Nightfall…
The cloud waters the first rain.
It waters Mystagogy…
I listen to the searing dialogue
of Earth and Sky
in the language of the rain…
The most magnificent,
the most erotic and generous
upon the shattered mirror of the Word…
The Existence anoints myrrh,
Exuding the fragrance of God Eros
and the blood of Summer…
A startled robin
adorns the foliage with a blend of joy and sorrow…
Remember this day, my daughter,
as long as your heavenly little sandals can endure,
remember it,
like a talisman to keep…
Earth, Sky, Love, Eros, God,
all in a single drop of rain,
a… tiny… drop of rain,
the Existence and its clay…
Remember it, my Diotima,
and me along with it
in this black-and-white photograph–counterpoint
to the dawn of Existence
and the sorrowful gaze of God…
