BDO H. M. Riajul Hoque, serving the Uluberia-I Block, conducted a thorough field inspection today focused on the Awas Yojana survey within the Dhulasimla Gram Panchayat area. This initiative is essential in ensuring that the government’s housing scheme is effectively implemented and benefits the intended populations. During the inspection, the BDO emphasized that the Awas Yojana is specifically designed to assist individuals who live in mud houses. As part of this program, only those applicants who can genuinely prove that they reside in mud houses will qualify to receive new mud houses under the scheme.
The BDO also made it clear that the government is taking a strong stance against fraudulent claims. He confirmed that legal action will be initiated against anyone who attempts to acquire an Awas Yojana house by falsely declaring that they own a mud house when, in fact, they possess a permanent house. This statement underscores the commitment of the administration to maintain the integrity of the Awas Yojana and ensure that benefits reach those who are truly in need of support for housing. By enforcing these regulations, the government aims to create a fair system that prioritizes the welfare of deserving individuals and families within the community.
