EDP training for enhancing better business skills for minorities youngsters

WBMDFC, a statutory body under the Department of West Bengal Minority Development Affairs and Madrasa Education, organized a three-day workshop to enhance business skills. The EDP training was held in the meeting hall of the Uluberia-1 block. About one hundred people received this training on Tuesday. Handicraft training was also provided under the initiative of the organization. Essentially, marginalized individuals from minority families live in the remote areas of the Uluberia sub-division. Most of them work as daily wage earners, and housewives also engage in day labor. The WBMDFC organization came forward with the aim of making them self-reliant. WBMDFC General Manager Sudipta Podel, Manager Jahangir Mallik, Doma Officer Mahua Bandyopadhyay, and Uluberia-1 Block Aggregate Development Officer H. M. Riajul Hoque were present at this training.
Besides this, Dibyendu Pal, minority officer of the block; Sabir Mushtaq Mollah; Mohammad Sujauddin; Sahabul Iqbal Mollah; and training officer Sariful Islam, were also present at the meeting. H M Riajul Hoque, BDO of Uluberia-1 Block, said, “For the sake of the minority people, the WBMDFC’s assistance is aimed at increasing the business of small traders. He further said that if anyone becomes self-reliant through this training, that is our achievement.”
